The Institution Innovation Council promotes innovation and entrepreneurship through structured programs, industry partnerships, and knowledge-sharing events. It nurtures creative ideas, encourages hackathons, and highlights institutional achievements in innovation.

Our Work

Major Focus of IIC

To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem
Start-up supporting mechanism in HEIs
Prepare institute for Atal Ranking of Institutions on innovation achievements framework
Establish function ecosystem for scouting ideas and pre-incubation of ideas
Develop better cognitive ability for technical students

Functions of IICs

To conduct various innovation and entrepreneurship-related activities prescribed by Central MIC in time bound fashion
Identify and reward innovations and share success stories
Organize periodic workshops/ seminars/ interactions with entrepreneurs, investors, professionals and create a mentor pool for student innovators
Network with peers and national entrepreneurship development organizations
Create an Institution’s Innovation portal to highlight innovative projects carried out by institution’s faculty and students
Organize Hackathons, idea competition, mini-challenges etc. with the involvement of industries

Workshop Attended

Dr S. Sendil Kumar attended a workshop on “Funding Opportunities for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development” at RMK Engineering College, Chennai on 09th November 2019.

Mrs. N. Radha attended the IIC Innovation Ambassador Training Series on “Design Thinking & Innovations” at Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore on 6th & 7th January 2020.

Dr S. Sendil Kumar attended the IIC Innovation Ambassador Training Series on “IPR & Technology Transfer” at Sri Krishna College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore on 6th & 7th January 2020.

Mrs. N. Radha completed Innovation Ambassador Training (Advanced Level) conducted by MoE’s Innovation Cell & AICTE during 30th June – 30th July 2021.

Dr. V. Kavitha, Mr. N. Jagadeesh and Mrs. I. Regina Mary completed Innovation Ambassador Training (Foundation Level) conducted by MoE’s Innovation Cell & AICTE during 30th June – 30th July 2021.

Funding Received

                Received Rs 40,000/- funding support from MHRD Innovation Cell to organise an impact lecture session

IIC of MZCET secured a 5-star rating during the academic year 2019-20 (IIC 2.0).
