PROFILE
Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology was inaugurated in the year 2001. It is run by Mount Zion Christian Educational Trust. This trust was formed in 1988 with the sole aim of providing education in the educationally backward district of Pudukkottai. The college since its inception has grown in leaps and bounds and is currently one of the best in the region. It strives to make all those who pass through its portals into innovative, hardworking engineers who will be of use to their places of work and to the society at large. Though young, the college has great plans for the future and the management is determined to transform Mount Zion into one of the best engineering institutions in the world.
Mount Zion has currently secured the highest number of job placements among self-financing engineering colleges in the region !!!

FOUNDER
Mr. Jayabarathan Chelliah, M.A. (U.S.A), B.Ed.
Mr. Jayabarathan Chelliah, was the Founder-Chairman of Mount Zion Christian Education Trust. Under his able leadership the first school which was started in 1988 grew into many institutions. He held a bachelor's degree in science from Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, a bachelor's degree in education from Calicut University, Kerala. He graduated in June, 1978 with a master's degree in Educational administration from the prestigious Loma Linda University, California, U.S.A. He was also an honoured alumnus of Loma Linda University, California, USA. He was also presented the Dr. Radhakrishnan (Nallasiriyar) Award by the Governemnt of Tamil Nadu. The institutions he started will continue to strive to reach the lofty ideals he envisioned.
Mrs. Florence Jayabarathan,is the Chairperson of the Mount Zion Christian Educational Trust which sponsors Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology. She along with her husband and founding chairman Mr. Jayabarathan Chelliah started the Mount Zion Institutions in Pudukkottai District. She is a dedicated teacher and motivates teachers and students to perform to their fullest. Prof. Jayson Keerthy Jayabarathan, who holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Mookambigai College of Engineering and a master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from SASTRA University, Thanjavur along with his team of dedicated, qualified faculty, has been governing Mount Zion College of Engineering & Technology. He has over 10 years of experience in managing the institution. Providing the best of technical information and latest technology for the students is his foremost aim.

Prof. Jayson Keerthy Jayabarathan, who holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Mookambigai College of Engineering and a master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from SASTRA University, Thanjavur along with his team of dedicated, qualified faculty, has been governing Mount Zion College of Engineering & Technology. He has over 10 years of experience in managing the institution. Providing the best of technical information and latest technology for the students is his foremost aim.
He is concentrating on Quality of Service in ad-hoc communication for his PhD and published his research work in referred journals. He is very much interested in grooming athletes and sports men for the future generation.
PRINCIPAL
Dr. P. BALAMURUGAN M.E.,Ph.D.
Dr. P. Balamurugan obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. He has completed his PhD in Development of Optimal Hybrid Energy Systems for rural areas from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala. He has 22 years of experience in teaching, research and academic administrations. He has more than 30 publications to his credit in journals and conferences. Four research scholars completed their PhDs under his supervision.

- Utilize various sources available for funding from state and central Govt. Agencies such as DRDO, DST,CSIR and AICTE for organizing conferences/Seminars /Workshops/FDP/Research projects.
