Dr. P. Balamurugan obtained his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Master's degree in Power Electronics and Drives from Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli.

He completed his PhD in Development of Optimal Hybrid Energy Systems for rural areas from National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Kerala. With 25+ years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, he has made significant contributions to engineering education.
